  • Very helpful call to discuss a path to a solution. I only wish there was a list of recommended doctors across the US that are as knowledgeable as Dr. Bastian instead of cold calling hospitals to see if they have heard of my situation and know how to execute the procedure to fix it.

  • #4, I had already read this information about the SNC on his website, and was more interested in treatment, which he helped with.
  • I felt like my main problem, which is recurrent episodic inspiratory and primarily expiratory wheezing, wasn't really addressed. Dr. Bastian was very nice and told me a lot about sensory neuropathic cough, but I think he thought my main issue was frequent cough, even though we had discussed that I don't really cough very much outside of the times I am wheezing. He had mentioned we'd get to the wheeze, but we never really did because we ran out of time.

  • The only reason I marked dissatisfied with time was that originally I was told it was $300 for 45 minutes; it was only at the last minute that I found it was only 30. I think a little more time would have been beneficial -- I felt a little rushed as I knew he had a 9am appointment.

  • To be honest, I felt the call to be much too short to cater to a valuable discussion. It felt hurried -- I was not able to discuss the nuances of my symptoms, and I also wasn't able to ask technical questions to Dr. Bastian. Dr. Bastian himself didn't ask enough pertinent questions, I felt. For example, questions about post-nasal drip, mucus production, and acid weren't touched on. Further, I believe there would've been value to asking how my treatments thus far have helped (or not helped).
  • Dr. Bastian is amazing. He really understands, listens and empathizes. He explains things in a very clear, straightforward way. He validated everything I have been experiencing. He provided options for treatment going forward, whether with him or a provider in my area, emphasizing that he just wants to make sure that my health needs are both important and addressed. He was everything I thought he would be and more. He has earned my trust and future recommendation, no questions asked! Thank you so incredibly much.
  • l felt to much time was devoted to medications .. which i have already taken …how to take etc which at the end of the session Dr Bastion said could be found on the website. They did not work last time however, l will try taking them again per his instructions.

  • I appreciated the advice, but was a bit bothered the late start to the call. I also spent a decent amount of time typing up notes about my condition, but it appeared that the doctor only reviewed them when the call began.
  • In addition to the articles that Dr. Bastian suggest I read, I would recommend providing a separate sheet that provides a summary of the call and the concrete recommended next steps. And a list of the recommended links that should be visited.

  • I appreciated Dr Bastian very much. I do think $300 for 30 minutes would be quite expensive for most out of town people that need his assistance. But I also realize there may be a higher fee for a Dr of his expertise and can respect that if that’s the case.
