Thank you for your interest in participating in the second stage of the project, looking at patient use of massage for health conditions.
For this second phase, we will be asking massage patients in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney about their perceptions and experiences of massage, how they use massage for their health, and what role patients see for massage in the health system.
We require massage therapists in each of these cities to allow us to ask ten (10) consecutive patients questions about these issues, after their massage in the clinic. There will be a research assistant present to ask these questions (via survey), and you will not be asked to interfere with your clinical practice. Patients who do not want to be involved are able to refuse.
To ensure that the project adequately reflects the massage workforce, we will ask you some screening questions, which will be used to make sure the clinics participating are reflective of the national massage workforce. Please note, these responses are anonymous, and can in no way be linked back to previous responses of the survey in Phase 1.
