Current business models reveal a number of promising collaborations of many configurations: company–company, supplier–supplier, company–supplier, academic testing labs working with suppliers and/or companies, contract-service providers partnering to become drug developers . . . and so on. With concerns about the long-term viability of supply chains, creative approaches to partnering are helping to accelerate drug development and mitigate associated risks.
