Currently the CIPP requests you record any learning you have undertaken that relates to CPD with evidence of the learning. However, many organisations set an annual hour's based CPD requirement, for example for the CIM it is 35 hours of learning per year. Using an hour’s based CPD system, would mean members would need to achieve a set number of hours and still provide evidence of that learning, and more importantly record how the learning has added value to the individuals CPD.
