Master Water Stewards Resource Network |
Introduction
The Freshwater Society and the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District have teamed up to create the Master Water Stewards program. The Master Water Stewards program will identify, train, certify and support community leaders to work with members of their communities to install pollution prevention projects on residential and commercial properties that educate community members, reduce pollutants from urban runoff, and allow more water to soak into the ground before running into storm sewer systems.
Project partners have received funding that will support the development and implementation of the program for three years in the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District.
One of the resources the Freshwater Society will develop to support Master Water Stewards is a resource network of water-related organizations, businesses and consultants to provide services and technical support.
