How to get paid for home modification evaluations and consultations.

Occupational therapists are uniquely trained and a perfect fit to be leaders in the home modifications for accessibility realm.  Unfortunately it seems that builders with CAPS training (a 3-day course) seem to be seen as the experts.  I think as OT's we need to figure out how to market and to get paid for our part in the home modification process.

Please take this short survey to help to explain your role in home modifications (either in your own business or as an employee for someone else).  The answers from the survey will be posted back to everyone who participates and used at the AOTA conference to promote OTs working in home modifications.

There is enough work for everyone in the home modifications field we just need to promote well enough to be recognized as leaders, by helping one another out we can go a long way.
