Qualifications to be a Coach of the Men's, Women's, or Mixed National team:
- Must be USAU Level I Certified or be willing to obtain Level I certification prior to the event.
- Level II certification highly desired for all head coach applicants
- Must have passed (obtain a green light) an NCSI background check
- Must agree to the USA Ultimate National Team Coach Code of Conduct
In order to be considered, all applicants must be able to attend the following:
- Tryout Camp #1: (dates/location TBD - Oct/Nov 2015)
- Tryout Camp #2: (dates/location TBD - Oct/Nov 2015)
- Training Camp: early June 2016, one full week prior to the WFDF World Ultimate and Guts Championships (location TBD)
- WFDF World Ultimate and Guts Championships: June 18-25, 2016 in London, Great Britain.
Inability to commit to all of these dates will result in immediate disqualification from candidacy for any 2016 WUGC coaching positions.
Head Coaches will be selected by the USA Ultimate Coaching Committee and USA Ultimate staff.
*If you are applying for a Head Coach position and have potential Assistant Coach candidates in mind, they must complete an application as well.
WUGC Team Coaches will have a demonstrated commitment to strong character and sportsmanship and will be chosen based on the following criteria:
- Ultimate coaching experience
- Ability and willingness to work with USAU administration and support USA Ultimate's mission and goals
- Ability to work with players in the club division they represent
- Experience with international competition
