Survey of heads of hospital pharmacies in Europe on the challenges faced when seeking to introduce new services

* 1. This survey is intended for heads of hospital pharmacies within Europe.

The survey is being conducted as part of the European Summit on Hospital Pharmacy (May 2014) and is an exploration of the perceived barriers to the implementation of improvement initiatives in hospital pharmacy.

In particular it seeks to gauge the level of control and autonomy that heads of hospital pharmacy perceive they have when seeking to introduce new services e.g. clinical pharmacy, new technologies, patient safety systems etc.

The results of the survey will be used to inform strategies for implementing the statements of hospital pharmacy practice to be decided at the European Summit on Hospital Pharmacy.
