2014 Every Kid Healthy Week Events |
Every Kid Healthy
Thank you for your interest in Every Kid Healthy™ Week, a celebration of events designed to promote the great work schools are doing through various wellness programs. From hosting family health fair nights, renovating school playgrounds, painting healthy murals on schools, working in the school garden, or providing taste tests, schools nationwide have taken advantage of hosting Every Kid Healthy events to bring together teachers, administrators, parents, families, and community members to roll-up their sleeves and get involved to promote and showcase their school wellness programs.
The Every Kid Healthy movement focuses on the national childhood obesity epidemic, as well as its solutions: sound nutrition, regular physical activity and health-promoting school programs. This year, hundreds of schools are celebrating this annual, national observance April 19-25. Founded by Action for Healthy Kids and joined by dozens of national partner organizations, Every Kid Healthy Week recognizes the schools across the country that are making sustainable changes to encourage students to eat better and be active every day.
If your school plans to (or wants to) host an Every Kid Healthy Week event, please provide additional information so that we can highlight your school. Events do not have to fall during the official Every Kid Healthy Week to be included in the celebration.
