If Eclipse, why?

Because eventually the department will realize how outdated and problematic Mosaiq is, and how much better the work flow will be with Eclipse-Aria-Varian linac

I’d get Eclipse and then get Aria. Mosiac is an antique and takes to long to process patients!

Single vendor, less headaches. Windows based, so IT is a lot easier than Pinnacle. API Scripting gives coders a lot of power. You know that you’ll always get the full range of features from your linacs. Eclipse has the ability to do everything the other systems can (although it might come at a cost).

I just gave from a site using PInnacle V16 - pitiful. cheap for sure, but no R&D, no bells and whistles, and very long calculation times.

If you are stuck with a heterogeneous Varian Tx and Mosaiq R/V equipment, you may as well get the best TPS available. Raystation is, IMHO, much better overall. What minor efficiencies gained by choosing a TPS from Elekta or Varian are probably offset by inefficiencies in adaptive planning/optimization/calculation speed/etc.,

The only reason to not choose Raystation is if you have an all Varian shop. RayStation has so many applications that the other competitors can’t match. Their support is amazing and they update their software at least once a year and take into account customer suggestions.

I worked with Pinnacle for 12 years and switched to RayStation 6 years ago. I would never go back. The user interface and speed of calculations is amazing. They really listen to you for upgrade improvements
