Very likely to reduce capital expenditures and possibly advertising costs. Also likely to reduce year end bonuses and discretionary profit sharing.

Please provide any additional comments related to your funeral home's preparedness, lack of preparedness, things you are doing differently compared to January, as well as thoughts on how our industry is responding and/or should respond?

Masks, Gloves and general knowledge.

We need ppe supply for the staff
3/31/2020 10:37 AM
We will increase our stock levels of face maskas and hand sanitizer. One half of our staff working from home on obits, DC's, data entry on Passare.
3/30/2020 11:07 PM
Believe we are adequately prepared by use of universal precautions . With people mandated to stay home, our preened sales have slowed down considerably. We are all going through difficulties and uncertainty in death care, but believe this will change some of our dynamics in Funeral services .
3/30/2020 09:47 PM
I think we need protective gear so we don’t get this. If no funeral directors, no funerals, bodies pile up, pandemic worsens! I don’t all COVID-19 cases need to be put into 2 body bags. I think we should NOT be removing any COVID-19 cases from the body bags and certainly NOT embalming these cases!!! We don’t know the risks well enough, we don’t know if this virus can flourish in the sewer system and there is no need to risk this. I understand families want to see their loved ones, but this should NOT be an option at this time. Last thing we want is for the entire country to get infected, or for government to order all COVID-19 cases be immediately cremated. If we inadvertently spread this disease we could be destroying our industry!
3/30/2020 08:00 PM
Just working our butts off.
3/30/2020 05:32 PM
This is an opportunity to reassure people that we are here for the. We are taking necessary precautions to care for both them and their loved ones. We are taking care of ourselves so we can serve. Educating public that we can offer various options to serve, remote arrangements, live streaming, extra precautions, cleaning, visitations with small groups rotating in, etc.
3/30/2020 03:22 PM
We are on high alert, all staff is to wear PPE accordingly. We are suggesting families to limit to a same day service, no more than 2 hours, 10 people or less allowed in the Building at one time. And we are following all local and government issued mandates to the letter!!
3/30/2020 02:48 PM
