Physicist is responsible for most of the planning - the double check being performed by another physicist. Sometimes Dosimetry does the planning for simple cases (GYN cylinder). Dosimetry will often prepare the contours as well.

I believe the one who is planning should be the one who needs to measure the wire. And should be double checked by another

The dosimetrists could be better utilized, at a lesser cost, in lieu of Physicists at treatment. I have seen this in other states. However our state is non-agreement and NRC insists a Physicist be present for the tx duration. The Physicists also have manipulated the state regs to reflect this...a savvy move for job security but an unwise business move with dwindling reimbursement.
