Interesting to see the jobs posted, and some of the discussion regarding clinical issues. However the list often tends to be dominated by about a dozen or so people, who constantly post. There should be more moderation regarding off-topic discussions, and really any comment that does not substantially add to the relevant medical physics discussion.

I find medphys a very useful resource as a clinical physicist working in radiotherapy.

Appreciate MEDPHYS as communication tool

Concerning the Medphys list: I find it a relevant source of information. I appreciate the time some physicists are willing to take to post new information or comments. This includes the surveys (monkeys).

It really is the de facto BBS.

I enjoy reading MedPhys. People ask questions and other physicists help answering them. People also share valuable materials, such as interesting articles or books.

Find it a very useful adjunct to my AAPM emails

The BBS is a useful forum, including topics not directly related medical physics practice. It is less important for me now that I am part of a large physics group. It is very useful for single physicist shops.

Could benefit from better moderating to decrease the number of off topic emails. e.g. the last argument flooded the listserv for over a week when it should have been argued privately between the people involved. There are a few people who are frequently the source of the off topic emails
