The Northampton Education Foundation (NEF) is funding Zoom Improv Workshops with Heidi Haas as a way to help students in 1st through 8th grades at Northampton's public schools interact with other students their age (through Zoom), have fun and gain confidence during the summer.
No prior improv experience is needed!
Please provide the information requested below for your student and you will be notified of the day/time of their 45-50 minute weekly session. There will be a workshop once a week for eight weeks, starting the week of June 15, skipping the week of June 29 and ending the week of August 10.
The workshops will be grouped as follows, with approximately 8 students per workshop. These groupings could change based on the number of sign-ups per grade.
- 7th & 8th Grades
- 5th & 6th Grades
- 3rd & 4th Grades
- 1st & 2nd Grades

You will receive an e-mail by Sunday, June 14 with your student's workshop day/time, instructions for logging in and expectations for your student as far as their behavior and participation during the workshops.
Please note that this opportunity is only available to students currently (2019/2020 school year) in 1st through 8th grades at Northampton's four elementary schools (Bridge Street, Jackson Street, Leeds & Ryan Road) and middle school (JFK).
