Santa Monica Mountains Wildfire Preparedness Survey |
About this survey
Do you find it hard to prepare for the wildfire season? The Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains has worked with Conservation Biology Institute (a non-partisan, science-based nonprofit) to develop this anonymous survey with recommendations from the National Park Service. We want to better understand how residents of Southern California prepare their home and landscape to reduce the risk of wildfire to their property. This survey is designed to help us learn how local residents understand, and are motivated to take voluntary steps to better protect their homes against wildfire ignitions and implement a "defensible space". The results will be used to guide future wildfire incentive and assistance programs aimed at supporting local communities.
The data is collected and held anonymously and will not be shared with third parties. Responding to this survey will not capture your email or enroll you in any newsletter. The survey has 18 questions and should take you about 15-20 minutes to complete.
