Background. You are invited to take part in a research study with WonderWhy Consulting, LLC, an independent research company. This survey supports Knology’s Black Representation: Authoring STEM Stories for Climate Risk Preparedness (BlackRep4Kids), a project focused on understanding our collective capacity to increase representations of Black children and families in children’s climate literature. This project is supported by the National Science Foundation’s Advancing STEM Informal Learning (AISL) program (award number 2314101). Learn more here.

Purpose. The purpose of this survey is to understand your professional experiences and your perspectives on Black children’s representation in children’s climate literature. Your feedback will inform the design of the BlackRep4Kids project. Your input is valuable, even if you cannot attend the conference.

Participation. Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary. You may choose to answer some or all of the questions, and you can withdraw at any time without any consequences. All questions in this survey are optional. You do not need to complete this survey to register for the conference.

Privacy. This survey does not collect personally identifiable information, such as your name or email. We will collect the responses you provide to the survey questions (e.g., industry perspectives, job role). The results will be presented to Knology and publicly via the BlackRep4Kids unconference community. While we will report the answers to most of these questions in aggregate, our report may also include quotes from your survey comments.

Contact. If you have any questions about this survey or the research, please contact LaToye Adams at community@wonderwhyco.com | www.wonderwhyco.com
