1. Emotional aspects of English sentences

Thank you for your readiness to fill in this questionnaire. You will be asked to, first, decide how positive or negative each of the presented 120 sentences is and, then, to provide some basic background information about the languages you know and your education.

The data is collected for the purposes of Marcin Naranowicz's Ph.D. project – a doctoral student of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland. The completion of the questionnaire should take around 20 minutes.

INSTRUCTIONS
On a seven-point scale, please rate how negative or positive a given sentence is. Please, follow the first impression after having read each sentence.

SCALE

–3 – strongly negative
–2 – negative
–1 – moderately negative
0 – neutral
+1 – moderately positive
+2 – positive
+3 – strongly positive
