Sunrise School Division is actively pursuing the creation of trades training in the Springfield area.
By the end of 2014, the existing bus garage in Oakbank will be available and could be re-purposed as a training facility for a variety of vocations.
These are the vocations that would suit the existing facility:

Horticulture and Landscaping
Industrial Controls and Automation
Industrial Electricity
Industrial Maintenance Technician
Machine Shop
Metals and Aerospace Technology

Plastics Technology
Power Mechanics/Automotive Technology
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
Resources and Environmental Management
Sheet Metal Works
Welding
Technical Education Diploma Credits usually don’t begin until a student’s grade 11 year.
Pre-requisite Industrial Arts courses are usually taken in a student’s grade 9 & grade 10 years.
