Suggesting a topic for ERS Task Forces |
The European Respiratory Society (ERS) funds experts in lung health to produce documents that give healthcare professionals guidance on how to diagnose, treat and manage different lung conditions and related issues. These topics are usually suggested by the health professionals, but the ERS welcomes suggestions for guideline topics from non-ERS members, including people with lung conditions and patient organisations.
We would like to know whether there is a specific topic or issue in the diagnosis, treatment or management of a lung condition that you think healthcare professionals and/or people with a lung condition across Europe need recommendations on.
This may be a topic where there is no existing guidance or where you think more or different recommendations are needed. Topics suggested should have the potential to make a real difference to the lives of people affected by a lung condition across Europe.
The European Lung Foundation (ELF) and ERS will consider your suggestion and let you know if they agree that a Task Force on the topic would be useful. If successful, a team of ERS experts, patients and patient organisations will be set up to review the current research and direction on the topic and produce a new guideline or expert statement. You will also be invited to be part of this team.
If you would like to suggest more than one topic, then please complete a separate form for each topic.
