Introduction

The Town of Lenox, with the assistance of Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC), is preparing to submit a $850,000 Community Development Block Grant CDBG-CV grant application to MA Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). The grant application is due on Friday, June 12. If awarded, this grant will provide assistance to a limited number of micro-enterprise businesses in south Berkshire County, where there are 5 or fewer employees and where the business owner(s) is low to moderate income, and the business has been adversely impacted by Covid-19. This grant opportunity will be available to assist businesses in the following communities: Lenox, Lee, Becket, Washington, Richmond, West Stockbridge, Stockbridge, Monterey, Tyringham, Sandisfield, Otis, New Marlborough, Alford, Great Barrington, Egremont, Sheffield and Mt. Washington.
