You may submit a proposal for one of the formats below. All sessions will be 25 minutes in length.
Presentations about your SoTL research
Presentations are an opportunity to showcase ongoing or completed SoTL research and to discuss significant findings. To encourage critical dialogue among conference participants, presenters should plan for approximately 15 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
Roundtable discussions about your SoTL research
A roundtable discussion about your SoTL research is an opportunity to discuss your work in a less formal format than a presentation. As the leader of a roundtable discussion, you should be prepared to facilitate dialogue with interested colleagues. You should also prepare a visual (such as a handout, digital image/graphic, or poster - no PowerPoint presentations) as a starting point for the discussion.
Roundtable discussions about topics related to SoTL
A roundtable discussion about topics related to SoTL is an opportunity to discuss important questions related to SoTL research (e.g., study design, IRB, publishing your SoTL work, how SoTL fits into faculty professional objectives). As the leader of a roundtable discussion, you should be prepared to facilitate dialogue with interested colleagues. You should also prepare a visual (such as a handout, digital image/graphic, or poster - no PowerPoint presentations) as a starting point for the discussion.
