Spiritually Abusive Leadership and Climate Survey |
Study Eligibility
This survey aims to identify and measure spiritually abusive behaviors of Christian leaders and groups. Any person 18 or older with experience in a Christian church or organization, who has directly interacted with its leaders, is eligible for this survey. You do not need to have experienced religious trauma or abusive leadership to participate in the survey.
There will be two phases of testing. You can participate in only one of them.
Pilot Testing Round 1 (current): This phase will help us validate the survey and identify the strongest items for assessing spiritually abusive leadership and organizational climates. We will also develop sub-themes of the survey through exploratory factor analysis.
Pilot Testing Round 2 (est. early 2025): This phase will re-test the final survey items to confirm their validity. We will also test the survey against other measures for trauma, psychological safety, etc.
Pilot Testing Round 2 (est. early 2025): This phase will re-test the final survey items to confirm their validity. We will also test the survey against other measures for trauma, psychological safety, etc.
