Perceptions of Safety vs Profit among Airline Pilots |
Introduction
Thank you for taking the time to complete this anonymous survey on safety within airline organisations. It should take no longer than 10 minutes and will ask you for some basic demographic information and then for you to rank your organisation's safety culture under five key headings; Fuel, Fatigue, Automation, Defect Deferrals and Time Pressure.
Each section will include no more than 10 statements asking you rate them on a scale from Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree.
This survey was inspired by numerous examples throughout history of profit and operational performance being put ahead of safety, from the 737 MAX, to the Space Shuttle Challenger, to the Titanic. It aims to find if the same is true within the airline industry.
