1. We want to hear from you!

The City of Richmond is creating a citywide park and recreation vision plan for the first time since the 1970s. The goal of the plan is to envision a world-class park and recreation system that is equitable, resilient, connected, and loved by all. This plan—called Richmond INSPIRE (Imagining Neighborhood-Shaping Parks and Inclusive Recreation Experiences)—will offer a community-supported vision for parks and recreation, with a concrete action plan to implement the vision in phases over time.

We want to hear from you! The planning team is starting a six-month conversation with you, staff, partners, stakeholders and other local experts to make this the best plan it can be. To start, we want to better understand:
  • Who uses the parks and recreation now (or doesn't),
  • What your needs and challenges are, and
  • Ideas you have for improving parks and recreation.
Thank you for spending 15-25 minutes on this survey. For more information, ways to stay engaged, and updates about the process, visit the project website: Richmond INSPIRE A Citywide Vision Plan for Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities
