PVMRP is a state-wide marketing program, governed by a grower board and funded by grower assessments. Those assessments fund two services for PA vegetable growers: crop research and marketing assistance, the latter of which takes two forms - as tools and materials that growers can utilize to promote their individual enterprises and also as a brand, PA Veggies, that manages the PA Produce Month campaign, advocates for all PA farmers and encourages consumers to buy PA vegetables.
