Inclusive Principal Leadership: Request for Information |
Oak Foundation’s Learning Differences Programme (LDP) partners with non-profit organizations that work to improve education for students with learning differences. In our work, we are particularly focused on efforts that support students with learning differences who experience further marginalization due to racism and poverty. Find more information about our program strategy here.
The LDP partners with several organizations focused on developing educators’ knowledge and skills to support students with learning differences. Most are focused on teachers, however, with only a handful working directly with current or future principals. While the organizations we currently support are doing excellent work, we are exploring ways to have an even greater impact on principal leadership in K-12 schools across the U.S.
With this Request for Information, we are seeking to learn about other (not currently Oak-funded) initiatives and organizations focused on strengthening principals’ knowledge, mindsets, and skills to serve students with learning differences and other disabilities. We are hoping to gather more information about promising programs across the spectrum of principals' development, from pre-service training to in-service coaching and support. While we are open to all ideas, we are particularly interested in existing programs with demonstrable results that are eager to expand their impact.
If you believe that your organization/program fits this description, we want to hear from you.
