Thank you for your interest in becoming a tutor with OC Read, the adult literacy service of the OC Public Libraries. At this time all in-person programs, including volunteering, are on hold. Grab and go, book drops, curbside pickup, and digital library items are available. Tutors must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be able to speak, read, and write in English
- Complete OC Read Tutor Training
- Complete a criminal background check
We are currently working on making Online Tutor Training available. Please check the box below to be kept informed of future trainings. Additionally, please check the appropriate box if you are interested in tutoring virtually or if you are interesting in becoming a tutor when in-person sessions resume.
