Help Inform ACEP Advocacy on Clinician Mental Health Treatment Barriers

Your responses matter.

Eliminating barriers to emergency physicians being able to readily access mental health treatment—especially during these particularly tumultuous times—is a top priority for ACEP.

By anonymously sharing your story, you can help inform and further ACEP’s advocacy efforts to remove the existing barriers to seeking treatment, including fears surrounding licensure and credentialing, and better encourage professional support and non-clinical mental health initiatives, such as peer support.

Please be assured that your submissions are 100% anonymous--no identifying information is collected. If you have any questions about this survey or ACEP's advocacy efforts on this important issue, please email advocacy@acep.org.
1.If you have ever experienced repercussions or discrimination in your career due to having previously sought mental health treatment, please share your story in the box below.

If you are comfortable doing so, please aid our advocacy by noting in which state this occurred, since state medical boards vary in their disclosure requirements of mental health treatment for physician licensure.
2.If you have ever avoided seeking mental health treatment for fear of licensure or credentialing disclosure requirements and/or related professional setback, please share your story in the box below.
