What is the Downtown Parking Management Study?
The study will result in recommended parking management strategies for Lafayette’s downtown that achieves an efficient balance between existing and future parking supply and demand, an expected increase in new housing, the anticipated future loss of some commuter parking at the BART station parking lots, and a desire for an expansion of safe pedestrian and cycling networks within Lafayette’s downtown and active transportation connections between downtown and other parts of the City.
The study will be informed by a robust data collection effort and from input provided from stakeholders, including Lafayette’s business community, Lafayette residents, visitors and workers.
