Introduction
Kinship care happens when your main carer is a close family member (grandparent, auntie or uncle, etc.) or a friend instead of your parents.
We are now updating Barnet’s Kinship Care Policy, which explains how Barnet can help children in kinship care and their families, considering the new National Strategy (Championing Kinship Care, December 2023).
If you are 11 to 19 years old, and you live with family or friends (kinship carers), we really welcome your feedback. We would love to hear what you have to say about the help and support you receive from us.
It should take about seven minutes of your time to complete the questionnaire. If you wish to receive one, we will send you a £10 shopping voucher to thank you for your time and your responses when you complete this questionnaire. To receive the voucher, we will need you to complete a short form with your (or your carer’s) contact details so that we can get in touch. This link will be provided at the end of the questionnaire.
To ensure personal information about you is secure, all your answers will be treated in the strictest of confidence and stored securely and anonymously.
We never release information that in any way allows an individual to be identified and only report of aggregated groups of respondents.
