Question Title

* What project might you bring to the Fellowship?

Over the semester, each mayor produces a manifesto of action for a project or area in their community. What is a specific project or area of your city that might benefit from a design justice approach? This could be a planning, development, or place-based policy initiative in an area where unjust conditions are impacting residents; ideas and projects in early stages are encouraged.

Please note that the Fellowship team will work with participants to select and refine their projects during the semester.

Suggested response length: 100-200 words

Question Title

* (Optional) Describe any relevant stated goals or ongoing efforts of your administration that seek to address conditions of injustice in your community.

* In the face of a nationwide housing crisis, this year’s Fellowship will explore what it means to house our communities. The curriculum will introduce mayors and their staff to planning and design frameworks – beyond housing supply and demand – that maximize all city resources to support the broad range of housing needs faced by a broad range of city populations.
