Cook County Schools - Vikings Vision 2025 Community Survey

Last November, our community supported one of three bond referendum questions, which authorized our district to make significant improvements to our PreK-12 building. Our district has begun design work on these improvements and aims to finish construction by Fall 2027.

However, voters narrowly rejected the second and third referendum questions, which sought to address the needs of our athletics facilities, theater spaces, and school grounds. Many of these spaces are under increasingly high demand as we work to accommodate sports for grades 3-12, the theater program, adult leagues, and over 200 participants in our community education programs.

Now, we have been presented with an opportunity to receive a grant to partially fund these improvements, contingent on a match from the district. This survey aims to collect feedback from our community to understand your goals, priorities and support for these spaces as we explore this opportunity. This is just one step in our efforts to reach out to all community members for input.
