This survey aims to gather data on Brunei companies' need for international certification and the types of certification required.
International standards are guidelines developed by international standards organisations for worldwide use. These standards are designed to ensure companies meet the minimum requirements to become an integral part of any industry. Getting certified for international standards can help companies:
1. To increase customer confidence in the quality and safety of company's products and services.
2. To fulfill requirements, such as those of regulations, buyers or tenders.
3. To gain competitive advantage and recognition in international markets.
As part of DARe's initiative to encourage Brunei companies to pursue international certification, DARe has introduced our Standards Consultancy Program in 2018. This is an assistance program whereby its participating companies will receive subsidized training and consultancy services from a DARe-appointed third-party consultant, who will work with the companies to prepare for and achieve certification.
