The Human Practices Committee is now recruiting new member
Thank you for your interest in applying for the iGEM Human Practices Committee. On the committee, we recognize that using synthetic biology to address real-world problems requires thoughtful engagement with the world. We are trying to create a framework that helps iGEMers become reflective, responsive, and responsible practitioners. We do this through offering guidance, incentives, and recognition, in an iterative process through which we are also learning.
We know our mission requires a diversity of values and expanding access to conversation. We’re seeking new members who can contribute new ideas and energy to our committee, especially:
· People willing to promote responsible research and innovation with global synbio community
· People with varied expertise (including life sciences, engineering, social sciences, bioethics, philosophy, law and policy)
· People can who bring global perspectives and reflect iGEM's geographic diversity
