WHO: The Workgroup on Harassment, Assault, & Misogyny in New Jersey Politics, led by Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg

WHAT: An open forum to hear public comments from: current and former state and municipal government employees and/or campaign staff, members of the public, experts, and allied professionals on how sexual harassment and misogyny has impacted the N.J. political and governmental arena.  

WHEN: Thursday, February 11, 2020 – 4 p.m – 7 p.m.

Forum will take place on the second floor of this building.
 
WHY: All comments and testimony delivered will be part of the public record for this task force and inform the Workgroup’s next steps, including a final report.  Your comments can speak to:

- Personal experiences with misogyny and sexual violence, in the context of your career in N.J. politics and/or government– whether in paid, consultant, or volunteer positions.

- Expert commentary, referencing research, best practices, and statewide or national data that will inform the Working Group’s body of research.

- Perspectives from allied organizations / stakeholder groups, who also have experience in the N.J. political and/or governmental arena.

All comments are part of the public record and should not be construed as confidential.

Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates will be available for attendees wanting to explore confidential pathways to healing and justice.

Your public comments can be delivered in-person (either anonymously, as “Jane / Jack Doe,” or with your name / organizational affiliation) or submitted in writing via this online form.

The Workgroup strongly encourages those delivering comments in-person to bring a printed version to leave for official records.
