Welcome to the FAIR data assessment tool. Using this tool you will be able to score the 'FAIRness' of a dataset. 

You will be asked questions regarding the quality of the dataset which are based on the three main principles - Findable, Accessible and Interoperable. Once you have answered all the questions in each section, you will be given a star rating based on how you answered for each principle. In the end, this will result in an overall/Resultant 'FAIRness' score.

It is advised that you read the 'FAIR data assessment tool specification' document before rating the data using this tool, as it provides you with extensive information and examples of existing data for each criterion level of the specification.

At the end, you will be asked roughly how long it took you to complete this assessment (not only this survey but including reading through the document and applying these principles to the dataset), so we would like to ask you to now take note of what time you begin the process of reviewing.
