Introduction

The City of Albany Small Business Façade Improvement Program is designed in recognition of the positive impact that individual building improvements can have on the overall appearance, quality, and vitality of the City's commercial districts.

Grants awarded under the Façade Improvement Program will provide funding for exterior renovations for eligible small businesses and not-for-profits throughout the City of Albany. Grants will fund up to 50% of total project costs. Project costs for each application submission should total at least $5,000, and grants shall be at least $2,500.00 and no more than $10,000.00. Funds will be awarded based on the project meeting the basic eligibility requirements, as well as factors such as the size, demonstrated need, feasibility, potential impact, and strategic value of the project.

Applications for Round 7 of the Small Business Façade Improvement Program will be accepted from April 1, 2025 until May 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM EST.

Applicants must submit a full and complete application, including all required documents, as outlined in the Program Guidelines and following application.
