What Is My Company Committing To Do?

Your company commits to being part of a community-wide effort to work alongside other employers, community navigators and service providers, and community members to expand your labor pool and ensure community members to have more equitable access to jobs by:
  • Improving your hiring, retention, and employee advancement practices to be more equitable and give you access to a larger pool of potential employees
  • Connecting your employees with community support services that help them stay employed
  • Connecting your employees with navigators to support them to gain skills need to advance
As part of this community-wide effort, you will:
  • Gain an initial understanding of the composition of your workforce, and what hiring, retention, and employee advancement currently looks like in your company
  • Set targets for improving your hiring, retention, and employee advancement practices
  • Gather, share, and use data, and input and feedback from your employees, to inform your improvement efforts, and to track progress and impact
  • Receive ongoing coaching, training, and technical assistance, including an expert-informed toolkit, to support you in your work
  • Participate in peer-to-peer learning opportunities with other employers

What Is the Time Commitment?

The amount of time you invest is as much time as you are willing and able to dedicate to improving your hiring, retention, and employee advancement practices. You have the opportunity to opt into coaching, training, technical assistance, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities ongoing. The only other commitment is to submit an initial benchmark survey about your company’s current practices, and ongoing progress updates to the RMP team on a quarterly to biannual basis.
