Endorsement Request Submission |
The CAEP Standards Subcommittee aims to provide emergency care providers with clinical guidance documents to support the delivery of the highest possible quality of care for patients. Through a process of structured review, we aim to ensure that CAEP supported documents reflect the most up-to-date current knowledge or consensus opinions on areas relevant to the practice of emergency medicine.
We are currently accepting Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) and Best Practice Statements for review and consideration of formal CAEP endorsement. A guide for differentiating between CPGs and Best practice statements is included below. Please fully complete this form and attach the following documents:
Attachment 1 - Cover letter (template link here)
Attachment 2 - Main document requiring review (pdf or word format accepted)
Attachment 3, 4 - Any additional supporting documentation
Submitted documents will be reviewed by members of the Standards Subcommittee and, when appropriate, by content experts and/or other CAEP Committees. Generally, a determination of endorsement is returned within 2 weeks although may take up to 4 weeks in moments where expert review is required. If timeframes are expected to exceed the aforementioned intervals, the Standards Subcommittee will communicate with the corresponding author shortly after the time of submission.
Other documents (eg. books, white papers) may be considered on an individual basis. Should you wish to submit a document for consideration, or for any questions to the Standards Subcommittee, please contact jgale@caep.ca.
