BACKGROUND In April 2018, consultants for the City of Alameda with a background in planning, coastal engineering, and civil engineering began conducting a feasibility study to determine the potential and best uses at six public access points to the waterway along Fernside Avenue and Eastshore Avenue. The report is available at www.alamedaca.gov/publicaccess and provides an implementable framework for accessible public access along the Alameda waterfront from High Street to the San Leandro Bay.
