Introduction

Introduction

Independent cultural consultant Laura Crossley is undertaking Clore/AHRC-funded research into burnout in the cultural sector. The research is being supervised by Professor Ben Walmsley of the University of Leeds.

The research is looking into experiences of burnout in the cultural sector and what organisations and sector bodies (e.g. sector support organisations, funders) can do to prevent or reduce burnout.

The survey should take around 10-20 minutes to complete. You can write as much or as little as you would like. Answer as many questions as you would like; none of the questions are compulsory.

The survey will be online until Monday 16 December 2024.

Your data

Any information you give us will be kept confidential, private and anonymous, and will not be shared with any third parties. Data will be stored securely electronically on a cloud-based system on encrypted files. Data will be stored by Laura Crossley until December 2029, after which time it will be destroyed.

Responses will be used to support research into burnout in the cultural sector, resulting in a research report, podcast, and anti-burnout toolkit. With participants’ permission, anonymous quotes may be used in the research report and/or podcast. Participants are encouraged not to refer to specific organisations in their responses but to talk generally about their experiences. If organisations are named, these will not be included in dissemination materials.
