Study of Workplace Sexual Harassment in the Restaurant Industry

You are invited to participate in a voluntary and anonymous online study conducted by Kelsey Ball, M.A., doctoral student at the Wright Institute in Berkeley California, supervised by Lynn E. O’Connor, Ph.D., Professor at the Wright Institute, Berkeley California. In order to participate, you must be 18 years of age or older and identify as female. You must also have experience working as a server at a restaurant. You will not be paid for your participation in this research study.

 

If you volunteer to participate, we will ask you to fill out a series of questionnaires and surveys. The total length of time for completion is 20 to 25 minutes. The surveys will ask you to share your experience contending with sexual harassment by male chefs while working as a server.

 

This study is voluntary. If you volunteer to be in this study, you may withdraw your participation at any time. You may end your participation by simply closing your web browser, or by directing your web browser to another site.

 

You can refer back to our research group's web site at http://www.eparg.org. The results of this study will be available by request when the research project has been complete.
