Successful Use of Cellular Phone Data in Criminal Investigations
Cellular phone data is critical piece of most police investigations as it provides a digital footprint of our daily activities. With technology constantly changing, and with it the type of information available, new obstacles are often faced by law enforcement to obtain pertinent data.
This one-day course with cover the following:
· The proper physical seizure of a cellular phone to ensure that data is not lost or compromised.
· Instruction on writing a proper Communications Data Warrant.
· Use of data found on cellular phones to aid in criminal investigations.
· Use of data from cell towers to aid in criminal investigations.
