The Creator Economy (CE) allows you to monetize your VRChat content by setting up a store in VRChat!

What is a seller?
A seller is a VRChat user who can use the Creator Economy, set up a store, earn VRChat Credits, and receive payouts.
Fill out this application if you want to become a seller.
What are the acceptance criteria?
You must meet the following criteria to become a seller in VRChat's Creator Economy:
Account criteria
  • You have a VRChat account.
    • Your account's trust rank is "User," "Known User," or "Trusted User."
    • Your account has not been banned from VRChat in the last 12 months.
  • You have a PayPal account to pay out your earnings.
  • You have a Discord account for communication purposes.
Personal criteria
  • You have a recent history of creating high-quality content for VRChat and/or other immersive 3D platformsRoblox, Rec Room, Fortnite, Second Life, etc..
  • You allow VRChat to contact you about your participation in the Creator Economy.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
Content criteria
We reserve the right to reject applications that contain controversial content.
What are the engagement criteria?

To increase your chances of acceptance, your application should show strong user engagement with your content.
Meeting the following criteria will strengthen your application:
If you are a world creator:
  • One of your worlds has gained at least 10,000 visits in the last 12 months.
  • The world is public and not currently in Community Labs.
  • The world uses the latest Unity version.
If you are an avatar creator:
  • You created two avatars in the last 12 months.
  • The avatars use the latest Unity version.
  • Your application includes the URLs of your avatars on VRChat.com or third-party storefronts.
If you are a group owner, event host, or performer:
  • Your group has at least 350 members.
  • Your group is moderated and has clear rules.
  • Your group regularly used instances, events, or announcements in the last 12 months.
If you are a content creator:
  • Your VRChat group has at least 100 members.
  • You have at least 1,000 followers on Twitch, YouTube, or a comparable social platform.
If you are another type of creator:
  • We may accept applicants experienced with other immersive 3D platforms. (Roblox, Rec Room, etc.), even if you do not fulfill our acceptance criteria.
  • We do not usually accept applications from other types of creators.
  • However, if you would still like to apply, please ensure that your application includes sufficient detail.
What if I don't meet the engagement criteria above?
We are less likely to accept your application.
While we use the engagement criteria to guide our decisions, they aren't always a perfect fit due to the wide variety of VRChat content. Even with lower engagement, your application still has a chance of being accepted.
What happens after I submit my application?
You’ll receive an email response within 30 days. Here's what to expect:

Rejection We’ll explain why your application was rejected and let you know if you should consider reapplying.
Invite You’ll be invited to join our seller community and participate in the Creator Economy.
Invite (Pending) You’ll be informed that we intend to invite you, but technical limitations prevent us from doing so immediately. For example, avatar creators will be invited once avatars are supported in the Creator Economy.

We may also reach out for additional information if needed.
What is the purpose of this application?
This application helps VRChat assess if you meet the criteria to participate in the Creator Economy. Your responses are confidential, and we do not share personally identifiable information with third parties.

Additionally, your responses help us gauge your interest in new features and guide the future development of the Creator Economy. We may analyze and share aggregated, anonymized data with third parties, but individual responses will not be disclosed.

If you wish to withdraw after completing the survey, you can edit or delete your responses. For assistance, contact us at hello@vrchat.com, and we’ll make reasonable efforts to remove your data from our analysis.
