Thank you for your interest in the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Internship Program.
This volunteer internship program is designed to inspire students while preparing them for success in their future careers. Virtual and onsite internships are available in many CDPH Centers, Divisions, and Offices. Our internships provide an opportunity to work in a variety of different Public Health disciplines such as health education, epidemiology, health statistics, laboratory sciences, public policy, healthcare administration, human resources, information technology, communications, and more. Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis. If an internship opportunity that matches your academic and professional goals is available, we will reach out to schedule an interview. Most internship placements begin in September, January, and May.

- Open to college students, recent graduates, and non-student career professionals.
- Volunteer commitment: 8 to 20 hours per week
