Please note: each songwriter/co-writing combination/artist/band can only submit one (1) song per category, and each song can be submitted for up to three (3) categories.

All song submissions must be submitted as a (working) Soundcloud link. People's Choice awards must be submitted via a public Soundcloud link - or will not be eligible. If your song is a private link, please make sure the correct link is posted in here.

TERMS OF RELEASE AGREEMENT

By agreeing to the terms of release, I am allowing my project to be used, if selected, on a compilation CD or media file available for use and/or purchase after the Cassette Awards 2020 event.

I, hereby grant the organisers of the 2020 JMC Academy Cassette Awards, the right to use the full and/or partial segments of my project at the 2020 Cassette Awards. For other festivals I hereby agree that it is my responsibility to have obtained appropriate permission with regards to copyright and the use of the third party materials contained within the project. I hereby verify that the entrant is/was a JMC student at the time of this production. 

Parts of the production may be selected and used by JMC Academy for promotional, marketing and/or advertising purposes, including the display, distribution, publication, transmission, or otherwise use of the musical piece taken for marketing materials that include, but not limited to, printed materials such as brochures, billboards, posters, flyers, documentaries and bus artwork. 

By selecting "agree" on this terms of release form, I acknowledge that my project can be used for all future JMC Academy Cassette Awards marketing purposes. Also selecting "agree" on this terms of release form, I nullify any and all responsibility on behalf of the organisers of the JMC Academy Cassette Awards 2020, and their sponsors. 

I agree that; 
-My project is produced and/or performed by a JMC ACADEMY student.
-My project has NOT been previously nominated in a Cassette Awards competition in the past. 
-My project is no longer than 4 minutes in duration
-My project will comply with the technical standards before being handed into MUSIC DEPARTMENT STAFF

I understand that I must hand in a final version by 5pm Monday 26th October 2020 to be eligible for nomination. No files will be accepted after this date. 

NOTE: Entering your music into the Cassette Awards does not void your eligibility for entries to other festivals. We will not publish your materials publicly online without your consent.  

NOTICE

Event details will be confirmed closer to the date.

Submissions will be judged by an external panel of industry professionals. People's Choice Award will be decided by an online voting form.
