The City of Brockton, and its partners, are developing strategic Downtown Action Plan. A lot of work has already been done and can be seen in the revitalization efforts to date. This Plan will align previous studies with an action agenda and help guide and manage the revitalization.
- Provide a tool for guiding downtown redevelopment growth
- Reaffirm the downtown’s role in the community
- Guide decision making for public improvements, private investments, and changes to existing zoning codes and regulatory mechanisms

The Redevelopment Plan will be a community-based planning effort with opportunities to participate and provide input. The Plan will address specific elements related to streetscape improvements, open space and parks, historic preservation, land-use and development opportunities, transportation and parking, utility infrastructure, and governmental and cultural facilities. The Plan will be reviewed, approved and adopted by the City of Brockton.
