Tax Appraisal District of Bell County Sales Confirmation Survey
Our records indicate that there was a recent property ownership change. The Texas Property Tax Code requires appraisal districts to appraise property at its full market value as of January 1st of each year. To do this, comparable sales are used in the formulation to determine the full market value. The more sales information the appraisal district receives the better we can determine what the full market value is for all property owners. This will help ensure that owners receive a fair and uniform property value.
The appraised values are used by each taxing unit to establish its budget and setting the tax rate. The appraisal district does not set tax rates or send tax bills. We only appraise property at full market value as mandated by the state. The Texas Comptroller’s office audits the appraisal district to verify the property values are at 100% market value. If we do not achieve a full market value on the properties, they could reduce state funding from our schools. To ensure the accuracy of our records, please fill out the information below.
All sales information will be kept in accordance with Sec 22.27 of the Texas Property Tax Code.
