The AED Foundation Caterpillar Scholarship Application Form
The AED Foundation (AEDF) Caterpillar Scholarship Program is building the pipeline of career and technical education candidates to address the heavy diesel industry's workforce gap. We are pleased to invite high school students who are pursuing a career in heavy diesel technology to apply for a $2,000 scholarship award.
Scholarship guidelines are as follows:
1. Awards are in the amount of $2,000 and may only be used toward tuition (exceptions apply)
2. Scholarships are available to high school students entering their first year of an AEDF accredited college program
3. Based on committee recommendations “student scholastic achievement, financial need, and written recommendations” are necessary for eligibility
4. All first-round scholarship recipients will be notified by mail no later than December 31, 2020
5. Scholarships will be distributed upon graduation for use toward students' first semester at an AEDF accredited college
6. All information provided in this application will be handled professionally and confidentially
Application Process:
To start the scholarship application process, students need to first submit their information via this form. Once student information is received, candidates will be invited to submit the following to complete their application:
A brief letter of intent (200 words or less) indicating how/why the student developed interest in the industry (can also submit a short video to meet this requirement)
Two written professional recommendations
A scanned copy of the student's acceptance letter to an AEDF accredited college program
