2017 Leahy Center Environmental Summit Project Team Application |
The next ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain Environmental Summit, scheduled for March 2017, will establish Vermont as a leader in building sustained, multi-sector, watershed-level initiatives that build climate resilience and create a culture of clean water.
Building on the success of the 2015 Summit, "Climate Change Resilient, Floodwater Smart," ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain seeks multi-sector, multi-town project teams to participate at the next Summit scheduled for March 2017. New teams will develop watershed-level climate change resilience projects, such as public engagement and outreach, on-the-ground implementation projects, and tool and model development. As with the 2015 Summit, teams will prepare project proposals for selected public and private grant programs.

Team members may include members of city government, planning, non-profits, private landowners, or citizens. Watershed teams from the 2015 Summit will share their projects' progress and lessons learned, and provide guidance to new project teams.
